6 Weeks to a Healthier You Testimonials
Joe has a great way of relating to his audience. He offers a few tips each week which are doable and not overwhelming for a busy full time working mom like myself. Six weeks was easy to commit to, not too long but not too short. - Julie Roszman, Administrative Coordinator, Medical Affairs
Hi Joe, I just finished your six week offering in Auburn. Grateful for the wisdom that you shared and the motivation I've reconnected into regarding moving my body and paying attention to what I'm putting into it. I am an employee at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and would like to send a letter of gratitude to whomever in the system decided to offer the course and the reduced rate. Both to thank them for the opportunity but also as a motivator that they might offer this in other communities Virginia Mason Franciscan Health serves. Thanks again. - Peggy McEntee, Ed.M, CHTP Grief Counselor
Here’s a great big hug and thank you to you and Franciscan for creating this health program. I work at Olympic College and will be telling our president about the program. I would love to promote it to staff and student. - Lynn Thornton (Silverdale)
Joe, just a note about the affects the 6-Days has had on us to date. Ron purchased a bicycle yesterday for Father’s Day celebration. Now we are riding and talking about the various places we can bike together. I am happy because bike riding is one of my favorite activities. We are sticking to our exercise program and to oatmeal in the morning. We haven’t felt this good in 20 years. Many, many thanks. - Julie and Ron Venn (Auburn)
Hey Joe, I’m still eating healthy and walking four miles per day – at least five days a week. I also throw in a weekly Jazzercise class that my wife teaches. So far I’m down 54 pounds on my way to my stretch goal of 60 pounds by June 1st. I feel pretty comfortable that I’ll make it - my doctor can’t believe it! Last week I had a follow up appointment on my blood pressure and it was 120/62. My resting heart rate has dropped from 67 to 52. I’ve stopped taking my blood pressure meds and will be following up weekly for a bit. I’ve also had to purchase a new wardrobe – everything was getting so baggy! I just wanted to say thanks for the support and reinforcement. My doctor says I’ve probably added at least 5 years to my life. Best regards. - Mitch Anderson, Jr. Financial Advisor , Financial Planning Specialist, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management
Because of the 6 Weeks program, my husband and I feel 100% better and are motivated to stay on this path to better health. Last week we took a senior bus tour to Mount St. Helens. There were 53 seniors on the bus and almost all were overweight and struggled to walk and get around. It was sad to see but it also made my husband and I feel blessed we were no longer heading in that direction. - Linda, Lynnwood (WA) program
One of the smartest things I have ever done was to sign up for "6 Weeks to a Healthier You" I learned so many ways to implement new ideas to make my life healthier. - Lois, Fresno (CA) program
Joe, we were so happy to sponsor the 6 Weeks program and now the results are in - 650 people lost 4,200 pounds. - Jill, Holland (MI) program
