Kathy Calvert: Patient Stories
Kathy considers herself “one of the lucky ones!” And you won’t find a more positive and energetic person. A long-time smoker, Kathy, has limited lung capacity due to multiple issues, including emphysema, and COPD. When she learned she also had stage one NSCLC lung cancer, she wasn’t all that surprised. However, the cancer was dispensed with because it was caught so early. She was treated over the course of a couple of months by Nathan Bittner, MD with targeted radiation therapy (SBRT). Today, she is grateful for the excellent care she received and is a proponent of lung cancer screening for those who really need it. It can save your life!
