St. Anthony Hospital’s Opening Campaign Earns GA Creative Multiple Awards
GA Creative, an integrated branding and advertising agency in Bellevue, Wash., has been recognized by both the Puget Sound chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Totem Awards and the Audio Visual Awards (Ava) for its work promoting the opening of St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, one of five hospitals in the Franciscan Health System.
PRSA awarded the St. Anthony Hospital "Opening Campaign" its prestigious Totem Award, which is given only to entries ranked in the top 15th percentile. The aim of the campaign was to increase awareness of and preference for the new hospital, which opened in March 2009.
The "Welcome" campaign featured everyday people in the community holding welcome signs, showing their enthusiasm for the new hospital opening, and included print advertising, direct mail, web banners, a seven-minute DVD featuring a virtual tour of the new hospital and a 30-second TV spot.
The TV-spot for the "Welcome" campaign received a coveted Gold Award in the Hospital Television Advertisement category of the Ava Awards. The award-winning commercial, as well as other videos produced by GA Creative, can be viewed at GA’s YouTube account: www.youtube.com/theGAchannel.
"Even more than the awards themselves, we were thrilled by the community engagement," said Marlice Gulacsik, the principal at GA Creative. "Without the enthusiasm, participation and commitment of local residents in support of St. Anthony Hospital, we would not be where we are today."
St. Anthony Hospital, which has also earned numerous other awards for architectural design and patient satisfaction, serves Gig Harbor, Fox Island, Key Peninsula, Port Orchard and South Kitsap County.
