Savor the Tiniest Moments
We provide a supportive environment for moms-to-be, so you can focus on having a healthy pregnancy and delivery.
Pregnancy and Childbirth
After you’ve welcomed your new baby into the world, our childbirth teams continue to provide expert care for you and your baby. We help give your baby the best possible start and provide the care new moms need after childbirth.
Skilled, compassionate care for mother and baby
At our family birth centers, our nurses have additional training in postpartum (after delivery) care. We monitor you closely to make sure you’re recovering normally and not experiencing any complications.
You may have questions and need help as you and your baby bond. Our nurses provide answers about newborn care and can arrange for services such as breastfeeding support.
Follow-up care: Pediatric and family medicine
Before you leave the hospital, your physician will talk with you about scheduling follow-up appointments for you and your new baby. Find out more about our pediatric care and pediatricians near you.
If you need a primary care provider, we offer clinics throughout the Puget Sound area.
We offer inpatient support by nurses and certified lactation consultants and outpatient appointments to help you and your baby successfully navigate this process.
In addition, registered dietitians at our outpatient nutrition education center can help you get the proper nutrition as you breastfeed.
In addition to the major body changes that happen after childbirth, some women suffer from moderate to severe postpartum depression. It usually occurs within four weeks after delivery but can occur up to a year later.
Symptoms of postpartum depression are similar to those of major depression. If you experience depression after giving birth, contact your physician immediately.
Postpartum support group
We offer a free postpartum support group for new parents called Balance after Birth. Moms can share the challenges of parenthood in a comfortable setting. Download the Balance after Birth flyer for more information and driving directions. You can register online on our family education page or call 1-888-825-3227 (se habla español).
Find a pediatrician for your new baby
Our pediatricians provide care throughout the Puget Sound. Find a pediatrician online or call 1-888-825-3227 for a referral.
