Tendon Repair: Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Care
An answer to chronic tendon pain
Are you ready to relieve chronic tendon pain? A new, ultrasound-guided technique is now available to treat damaged tendon tissue (the cause of most tendon pain), leaving healthy tissue undisturbed and promoting a secondary healing response.
- Quick, one-time outpatient procedure
- Typically performed with local anesthetic instead of general anesthesia
- Rapid pain relief and recovery
- No stitches (requires only a small, adhesive bandage)
- Wear a boot for approximately three weeks; return to normal activities in six to eight weeks
- Covered by most insurance
- Achilles tendonitis
- Plantar fasciitis
Ask your provider or physical therapist if you might be a candidate for tendon repair. Individual results may vary.
This procedure is performed by Chad Farley, DPM, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He treats a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions, from sports related injuries, adult-acquired flat foot and plantar faciitis to bunions, hammertoes, heel spurs and ingrown nails. Dr. Farley encourages patients to be active and believes in an individualized approach to health care that involves open communication to meet the unique needs of each patient.
