A Compassionate Approach
Committed to caring for the whole person.
Hospice and Palliative Care
Part of our mission is caring for people in the communities we serve, at all stages of life. We offer comprehensive end-of-life hospice care to patients and their families throughout King, Kitsap and Pierce counties.
What is hospice care?
Hospice care is medical care and support services to provide comfort for people with a terminal illness. The experienced hospice team at CHI Franciscan offers a complete range of services from nursing care to physical therapy to home medical equipment.
When is it time for hospice?
Many patients start thinking about hospice in the last six months of an illness. But if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening illness, it’s not too early to consider your options and learn about what signs and symptoms may signal it’s time to think about hospice. When medical treatment to cure a serious illness is no longer beneficial, hospice care offers the best possible comfort and support during the next stages.
We coordinate your care with you, your family and your care team, supporting your choices while you remain independent. The sooner you call on CHI Franciscan, the sooner we can help you prepare for important decisions and life changes.
