Lung Nodule Clinics

More people are being diagnosed with pulmonary (lung) nodules, which are round or oval growths in the lungs. Also known as spots or lesions, lung nodules may be benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous).

To ensure that those at risk for developing lung nodules receive early diagnosis and treatment, our team has developed an innovative approach: our Lung Nodule Clinics. Early detection and treatment of cancerous lung nodules is critical, because treatment is more successful when lung cancer is discovered in its early stages.

What to expect

Our health coordinator will guide you through the most appropriate and time-sensitive care path. You’ll go directly to the specialists nearest you, and you’ll receive education and assistance through the process as well as scheduled follow-ups at three, six, 12, 18 or 24 months, as appropriate.

You’ll need a referral from your primary care physician to receive treatment at the Lung Nodule Clinics. Your first visit is with a board-certified pulmonary physician, who will set up the next steps with our team of specialists and health coordinator.
