Myung H Park, MD, FACC, FHFSA
Myung Park, MD, FACC, FHFSA, is a board-certified cardiologist and heart failure service line medical director. She has clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation, pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure, CTEPH (chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension), and in mechanical circulatory support.
Dr. Park believes exceptional patient care is best achieved through a partnership with the patient, family and referring physicians—with the patient as the center point. This partnership depends on effective communication and active listening.
Dr. Park most recently served as the Chief of the Division of Heart Failure, Transplant, and Pulmonary Hypertension at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She is well published in the field of pulmonary hypertension, cardiac transplantation and heart failure. She was a member of the Board of Directors for ISHLT (International Society of Heart and Lung Transplant) and on the Scientific Leadership Council for Pulmonary Hypertension Association. She is serving as a member of the American College of Cardiology Heart Failure and Transplant Council and Co-Chair of the Pulmonary Hypertension Workgroup. She is also a member of the Heart Failure Society of America, American Heart Association and American Medical Association.
