April L McVey, MD
April McVey, MD, is a board-certified neurologist with more than 30 years of experience facilitating healing and optimizing quality of life for patients with neurological conditions. She specializes in neuromuscular disease in adults, including ALS, myasthenia gravis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), Guillain-Barré syndrome, peripheral neuropathies, myopathies and other neuromuscular disorders.
Dr. McVey is a Fellow of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Northeastern ALS Consortium and Western ALS Research Study Group. She is also certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. McVey is involved with patient support groups and was included in Best Doctors in America 2007-2016, published in the Kansas City Business Journal.
