A virtual visit is an appointment with your provider during which live video is used. All aspects and quality of the visit are similar to an in-person visit, except you don’t have to commute to the clinic. Virtual visits are offered for your convenience. If you are interested and doctor offers virtual visits, ask them if this is a good option for you.

- Have any insurance coverage except Medicare
- Doctor offers virtual visits
- Doctor says patient meets clinical criteria for virtual care
Virtual visit instructions
Before your appointment: please pay your co-pay on MyChart, download the Zoom app and test the website on your device.
Direct link instructions
- Click on the link sent to you in MyChart. The link looks like this:
https://chifranciscan.zoom.us/j/61083549 - Follow the prompts identified below to download Zoom on your device and connect with the provider.
- You will be placed in the virtual waiting room until the doctor arrives.
Smartphone/tablet instructions
- Download the Zoom Cloud Meeting app; you do not have to create an account.
- Click “Join A Meeting”.
- Type the 10 digit meeting ID provided to you by the clinic.
- You will be placed in the virtual waiting room until the doctor arrives.
Laptop/desktop computer instructions
- Click on the link: www.join.zoom.us
- Type the 10 digit Meeting ID provided to you by the clinic.
- Your device will redirect you to download the Zoom application. Follow the prompts on the screen. If prompted to download or run, select “RUN”.
- You will be placed in the virtual waiting room until the doctor arrives.
