Recognizing Grief—On-Going, Drop-in Grief and Loss Support Groups
Are you dealing with the death of a spouse, parent, child or other loved one in the past 16 months? Does it feel as if the sadness will never lift, or that you are isolated from friends and family? Grieving can be painful, and also healing. While everyone experiences loss differently, grief that is expressed and experienced within a supportive environment has the power to heal. These ongoing grief support groups provide an opportunity to listen, share and learn from others.
Registration is required and group location will be provided at that time. Please contact the counselor listed under the group you are interested in attending.

Finding ways through grief using the expressive arts of SoulCollage© and Journaling
Grief in the first year can be like an unwelcome guest that shows up on your doorstep and moves in without an invitation. We can feel like a stranger in our own body and life. Our mind works overtime trying to get us to a place of normalcy, yet it is our heart and body that need to be in the lead, with the mind following to allow painful emotions, memories to be experienced and expressed. In the beginning it can be difficult to find the words that can describe the disorientation and un-grounding of grief. This offering provides the opportunity to be in community with other newly bereaved, to share your encounters with grief, learn different ways to express it and trust as you grow and work through your feelings of loss. A minimum of six participants is needed for a group to proceed.
Thursday, March 29 - May 3, 2018 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Soup provided)
