Heart Health Classes
Cardiac Rehab is designed for people with heart disease to reduce risk of future heart problems. Our program offers medical expertise and supervision during your recovery process, combined with support and education geared toward helping you maintain god heart health. Cardiac Rehab consists of 3 sessions a week for 6-12 weeks. Takes place at the Franciscan Heart Center at St. Joseph Medical Center on the 1st floor.

Heart Healthy Eating Class
This four‐week series is taught by a registered dietitian and focuses on living a healthier lifestyle by changing habits and following a nutritious, low‐fat eating plan. Classes cover meal planning, shopping, reading labels, dining out, goal setting, staying on track and much more. Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30 a.m. FREE (Class does not meet the fifth Wednesday of the month.) Takes place at the Franciscan Heart Center at St. Joseph Medical Center on the 1st floor.

Living Successfully with Heart Failure - Gig Harbor
St. Anthony Hospital offers a free one-day course to help you live successfully with heart failure. Led by healthcare experts, information presented includes understanding heart failure, nutrition, medication and exercise and activity. This class welcomes patients and families of those living with heart failure and newly diagnosed patients.
The class is held every first Monday of the month, 2 to 3 p.m. at the St. Anthony Smalling Conference Room, located in the Milgard Medical Pavilion. There is no registration required for this class.
Living Successfully with Heart Failure - Tacoma
Franciscan Heart Center now offers a free, four week course to help you live successfully with heart failure. Led by healthcare experts, information presented includes understanding heart failure, nutrition, medication and exercise and activity. This class welcomes patients and families of those living with heart failure and newly diagnosed patients.
Additionally, the course is designed to help transition participants joining CHI Franciscan Health’s Cardiac Rehabilitation program. The class is held on Mondays (fifth Monday of the month and holidays excluded), 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Medical Center's Franciscan Heart Center Patient Education Room. Valet Parking is available in the Emergency Services department parking lot, off 19th Street and J Street.
