CHI Franciscan to Open New Bainbridge Primary and Specialty Care Clinic
New clinic will maintain CHI Franciscan’s full spectrum of convenient, high-quality primary care services on Bainbridge Island
CHI Franciscan announced that it will open its new clinic, Franciscan Medical Clinic – Bainbridge Island, on January 27, 2020. The clinic, which is housed in the Virginia Mason medical building on Wintergreen Lane, will provide a continuum of high-quality primary care services to Bainbridge residents. The clinic will offer family medicine, internal medicine, adolescent health, and same day walk-in services.
Between CHI Franciscan’s two clinics, Franciscan Medical Clinic – Bainbridge Island and Franciscan Urgent Care Bainbridge, the health system will offer urgent care, primary care, and specialty care services to the Bainbridge community.
Prior to its new location, the Franciscan Medical Clinic – Bainbridge Island was located at 8804 Madison Avenue North. In early 2019, the Bainbridge Island City Council voted to buy CHI Franciscan’s medical clinic building on Madison Avenue to meet their needs for a new police station and municipal court. The property will be converted to meet the city’s needs starting in early 2020.
“As a member of this community, we recognized the city’s need for a public safety building and determined that we had a site that may be appropriate to fill that need,” said Bob Cross, divisional vice president of strategic growth and development, CHI Franciscan. “Any patients currently seeing physicians at the Madison Avenue medical building will be able to seamlessly continue receiving care at Franciscan Medical Clinic – Bainbridge Island.”
Patient care will not be impacted by the move. The physicians currently serving patients at CHI Franciscan’s clinic on Madison Avenue will continue seeing patients through Friday, January 24, 2020. Starting on Monday, January 27, 2020, those physicians will begin seeing their patients at the new Franciscan Medical Clinic location.
