Orientation and Concentrated Learning three weeks
These areas are to be covered early in the residency. The resident is expected to acquire the following general skills necessary to care for patients in required rotations and longitudinal experiences. The following educational experiences will occur during this orientation time.
Basic Skills and Tools
Renal Dosing Adjustment
Required Rotations 40 Weeks
Residents participate in eight required rotations spanning 40 weeks, with the opportunity for further experiences based on individual background and future interests.

|Practice Management||four weeks|
Required Longitudinal Experiences Continuous
Longitudinal experiences will occur throughout the residency year:
- Drug Utilization Evaluations
- Presenting recommendations to Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees
- Creating monthly newsletter
Residents will be assigned to a hospital within the health system for further experiential development through staffing opportunities.
Elective Rotations Six Weeks
These are specialty rotations, some of which may be done off-site. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to propose and create alternate rotations based on clinical interests.

Residency Project continuous
Residents conduct a project aimed at identifying, organizing, and solving a clinical or management-related problem or developing a new program. This project will be presented at the Western States Conference for Pharmacy Residents, Fellows, and Preceptors. The resident will be encouraged to submit the project for publication and present at state or national pharmacy meetings.
