Zahrah Ali was born in Fiji and moved to the San Francisco Bay area for school. She earned her Bachelors in science in Genetics and Plant Biology, and Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!). She then ventured out to Washington to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Washington State University. Zahrah has diverse interests including oncology, palliative care and pain management, and internal medicine. She really enjoys baking and loves to "bakery hop." Zahrah feels privileged to be a part of the CHI-Franciscan family and is looking forward to a year of growth and fostering relationships.
Jade Haas was born in Albany, Georgia, but grew up near Olympia, WA. She attended Western Oregon University where she earned her B.S. in Biology and later returned to her home state to complete her PharmD/MBA at South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, GA. Her current interests include oncology, critical care, and administration. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends. Jade is very excited to be a part of the CHI Franciscan team and looks forward to expanding her clinical knowledge and continuing her growth and development as a pharmacist.
Michael Miller is originally from Colorado Springs, CO. He received his BS in Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University and his PharmD from the University of Colorado. His current interests include critical care and emergency medicine, but is open for any new experiences throughout his residency. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, hockey, and volleyball. Michael is grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with CHI Franciscan and is excited for what this year will bring.
Karl Nacalaban is proud to be born and raised in Seattle, WA. He completed his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Washington and his PharmD at Washington State University, which makes each Apple Cup very interesting. He is open minded and curious about many topics in pharmacy, but currently has interests in oncology, critical care, and management. In his spare time, you can usually find him at a local stadium, as he is an original Sounders FC season ticket holder and allaround Seattle sports fan. Karl is looking forward to growing as a pharmacist and person in the CHI Franciscan system this residency year.
Victoria Oywole is a Minnesota native, born and raised in Saint Paul. She received her BA in Biology from the University of Minnesota and completed her PharmD at the University of Charleston in West Virginia. Victoria is dedicated to tackling the complex challenges faced in the inpatient care setting and gaining unique experiences that will allow her to practice at the top of her license. Her primary interests include critical care, emergency medicine, research, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration. In her spare time, she enjoys going to concerts, exploring new cities, journaling, spending time with her family and friends, and taking excellent naps. Victoria is looking forward to working with the healthcare team at CHI Franciscan and cultivating a robust set of clinical skills during her residency year.
Chandni Raval was born in London, but grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. She moved back to the United Kingdom for graduate school and completed her MPharm at Cardiff University. She recently moved to the United States after she met her husband while traveling. Currently, she remains open-minded but has specific interests in infectious disease, critical care, and internal medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new food and cultures. Chandni is grateful for the opportunity to join the CHI Franciscan team and looks forward to expanding her clinical knowledge and experiences as a pharmacist.
