Two Franciscan Physicians To Receive Healthcare Champion Awards

Two leading Tacoma physicians who are also members of the Franciscan Health System medical staff have been named winners of the 2011 Healthcare Champion Award, an annual event sponsored by the Pierce County Business Examiner newspaper and Pierce County Medical Society.

Frank Senecal, MD, a board-certified medical oncologist, will receive the prestigious award for Distinguished Service to honor his extraordinary career. Dr. Senecal is medical director for the cancer-care programs at Franciscan Health System and serves as a consultant to the American Cancer Society.



Neurologist Patrick Hogan, DO will receive the award for Community Impact in recognition of the impact he has had on a broad section of the community. Dr. Hogan founded the Franciscan Freedom From Tobacco Support Group, which has helped hundreds of men and women to stop smoking in the last 20 years.
