Franciscan Nurse Recognized as Outstanding Alumni By University Of Washington Tacoma
Tacoma - The University Of Washington Tacoma School Of Nursing honored Julie Peerboom, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with their 2014 Outstanding Alumni Award. Julie works at Franciscan Gynecologic Oncology Associates in Tacoma and was honored for her work as an expert clinician and leader within her medical practice and throughout the region.
“Julie is a nationally recognized resource for education on cancer care and is asked to speak around the country”, says Joy Martin, associate vice-president for oncology with Franciscan. “Julie personifies the best in nursing. She listens to her patients and provides them with support, both medical and emotional, as they navigate through a difficult time in their lives. We are so privileged to be able to have Julie as part of our Franciscan family.”
Julie Peerboom received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in nursing from The University of Washington Tacoma. She was presented with her award on June 11, 2014 at the University of Washington Tacoma.
