Franciscan Brings New Services to Bonney LakePhysical Therapy and Digital Imaging Now Available
With a mission to bring medical services closer to home for residents of Eastern Pierce County, Franciscan Health System has expanded its services at the new Franciscan Medical Pavilion in Bonney Lake to include physical therapy and state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging.
The pavilion opened on June 3, 2013 with Franciscan Prompt Care (urgent care); Franciscan Medical Clinic (family & internal medicine); Franciscan Pharmacy; digital x-ray and an on-site lab. This month the pavilion opened its doors to provide Franciscan Physical Therapy and a comprehensive suite of diagnostic imaging services.
“The world of healthcare is changing. Traditionally, we built big hospitals with all kinds of services and patients would come from all over the area to get their care. That’s not the way it is today. Today, consumers want convenience and easily accessible services,” said Cliff Robertson, MD, Chief Operating Officer for Franciscan Health System. “That’s the goal behind our new medical pavilion in Bonney Lake, to bring high quality health services close to home.”
Franciscan Therapy Services in Bonney Lake offers care for sports injuries, work-related conditions and post-surgical recovery.
Diagnostic imaging technologies include:
- 3D Mammography
- CT scans
- Digital X-Ray
- Pain Management Injections
Franciscan is the first in Bonney Lake to offer 3D Mammography. Also known as digital breast tomosynthesis (or tomo), studies show it improves the early detection of breast cancer by up to 30 percent and reduces the need for additional breast screenings.
Additional services in Bonney Lake will open later this year including oncology/infusion and rotating specialties such as cardiology, podiatry, occupational health, gastroenterology, oncology and more.
