A person's faith and hope can have a tremendous influence on how he or she deals with sickness.
When illness or injury strikes, it affects more than our physical well being. It often affects all of who we are - our bodies, minds, emotions, relationships, and our spirituality.
At the CHI Franciscan Health, we believe that providing good health care means caring for the spirit and emotions, as well as the body.
Our Spiritual Care staff serves patients, their families and other individuals in their time of need. Our first priority is to comfort, and provide spiritual and emotional support. We also assist those who are coping with grief or loss.
Our chaplains visit patients and their loved ones by request from patients, physicians, nurses and case managers.
