AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course

Description: Building on skills gained in the Intermediate FHM Course, this course conveys the application of advanced fetal heart monitoring knowledge and skills in intrapartum nursing practice. Using a case study approach to focus on the analysis of complicated FHM patterns/characteristics and related case information, this course emphasizes: underlying maternal-fetal physiology, instrumentation, interpretation, intervention, verbal and written communication skills and risk management principles. 12 hours CE or 10.0 CME will be given upon successfully passing the skills and written test. Fee: $90 for FHS hospital L&D Nurses; $215 for all others. MUST HAVE MANAGERS APPROVAL TO ATTEND. Registration required.
