Walk for Water

Participants can choose between a 5k walk/run ~OR~ a “water walk” carrying water, simulating the water collection efforts that millions make worldwide every day. The purpose of the Walk for Water is to raise funds for new water projects, specifically in Swaziland and Uganda, and awareness of the global water crisis.

Date/Time: Saturday, May 9th; 10 a.m. (check-in at 9:30 a.m.)
Locations: Ruston Waterfront, Start and Finish Line is at Marine View Park near the Lobster Shop

Number of volunteers needed: Total volunteers will ideally be around 50, coming from various organizations
How volunteers will be used: Setup and cleanup, onsite support during the event

HIV Testing

PCAFThe Pierce County AIDS Foundation (PCAF) provides weekly HIV testing and is in need of someone who has been state certified to administer these tests.

Date/Time: Thursdays, 6-8 p.m.
Location: Rainbow Center - 2215 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma
