Volunteer Opportunities - Tacoma

Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful

Habitat for Humanity - PierceFor over 30 years, Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful, a program of Associated Ministries, has brought volunteers together to provide free house painting to low-income homeowners. Since 1985, volunteers have painted over 2,100 houses in Pierce County! This year we are looking at engaging 1,000 people this year to help build stronger communities.

Why does this program make a difference? By painting the exterior of homes, we prevent blight, preserve affordable housing and increase property values. Many homeowners throughout the City of Tacoma do not have the ability or resources to paint their own homes due to age, disability or poverty.

This summer, we are planning to complete 35 home projects in Tacoma and Lakewood. It’s a great opportunity for co-workers, family, friends, and groups of people within a community of faith – Mosque, Church, Synagogue, etc. No experience is necessary! All ages welcome to help. Individuals and groups of all sizes can help.
