Pierce County Hunger Walk
For 36 years, Associated Ministries has held a walk and run to join in the fight against hunger in Pierce County. Walkers and runners raise funds that go to support local food banks, while volunteers help coordinate the event.
Date/Time: Sunday, October 2, 2016; Time varies with volunteer activity – anywhere from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Ft. Steilacoom Park – 9601 Steilacoom Blvd, Lakewood
How volunteers will be used:
- Booth organizer
- Kids Zone
- Set-up crew
- Tear-down crew
- Volunteer Check-in
- Water Stations
- Route Marshal

The Pierce County AIDS Foundation (PCAF) provides weekly HIV testing and is in need of someone who has been state certified to administer these tests.
Date/Time: Thursdays, 6-8 p.m.
