Franciscan Foundation…for it is in giving that we receive
In keeping with CHI Franciscan Health’s mission of building healthier communities, Franciscan Foundation occasionally assists new nonprofits, whose work aligns with our mission, in getting their organizations up and running. Depending on the needs of the organization, we can provide fiscal sponsorship, fundraising assistance and accounting services free of charge. Current and past organizations that have benefited from our support include the Mustard Seed Project; Werlin Reading Teams (recently renamed Read 2 Me); and the TEARS Foundation.
Franciscan Foundation also awards community grants to South Sound agencies working to address the health and well being of residents in the communities Franciscan serves. These grants are funded by unrestricted investment earnings on the Foundation’s assets.
As one of the largest organizations in the South Puget Sound region, we take our commitment to the communities and people we serve very seriously. Our non-profit support and community grants are just two of the many ways Franciscan goes above and beyond the community benefit requirements for tax-exempt, not-for-profit health care organizations.
