Dr. Nyen Chong is board certified in general and cardiothoracic surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, as well as a diplomate of both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Prior to joining Franciscan, Dr. Chong practiced cardiothoracic surgery at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Delaware. Dr. Chong’s clinical interests include all aspects of open and minimally invasive thoracic surgery including video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) lobectomy and thymectomy, and radiofrequency ablation of lung cancer. He has a special interest in foregut surgery.
