Jestyn Cummings, ARNP, FNP
Jestyn Cummings, ARNP, FNP, is an advanced registered and family nurse practitioner with a special interest in orthopedics and sports medicine. Drawn to medicine with a desire to make a real and positive difference in the lives of others, Jestyn is dedicated to the empowerment of his patients and the promotion of their health.
Jestyn has a strong interest in treating sports injuries, particularly those incurred in martial arts related activities. He has treated a wide array of patients, from professional mixed-martial arts fighters, to high school wrestlers, to amateur Tae Kwon Do competitors, to weekend-warrior hobbyists. He has also provided medical staffing for multiple martial arts events, including the Washington State Judo Championships, and Liberty Events and Promotion’s “Revolution” Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Tournament series.
Jestyn strongly believes in education as a key component in healthcare. He strives to empower all of his patients through providing additional awareness of their health. He regularly teaches advanced registered nurse practitioner students, as well as NP residents through the Community Healthcare system. He is also the founder and director of the Franciscan Nurse Practitioner Orthopedic Fellowship Program.
He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses and the American College of Sports Medicine.
In his spare time, Jestyn enjoys martial arts, Roman history and spending time with his family.
