Alternative Medicine Committee

The Franciscan Alternative Medicine Committee includes dieticians, pharmacists, a librarian, and a physician who practice at the Franciscan hospitals and community clinics. Since 1998 our committee has worked to develop safe guidelines for use of alternative and complementary medications. The mission of the committee is to increase awareness of alternative medicine therapy and to increase patient knowledge including the proper use, potential benefits, and potential risks associated with the use of alternative products. The committee does not endorse or represent any products that are not approved by the Pharmacy Therapeutics and Technology Committee.
