Cardiac Electrophysiology at Franciscan

Heart rhythm care for you

Electrophysiology is a specialized branch of medicine involving the study of the electrical activity of the body’s cells and tissues. It is used extensively to diagnose and treat electrical problems of the heart.

Franciscan Heart & Vascular Associates, cardiology experts throughout the Puget Sound region, treat a variety of heart rhythm issues. Additionally, specialized electrophysiologists treat patients with complex and/or dangerous arrhythmias.

Franciscan electrophysiologists perform minimally invasive procedures to treat arrhythmias, several of which are being performed in only a small number of medical centers nationwide including: cryoablation, percutaneous left ventricular assist devices, and assisted ablations—used primarily for ventricular tachycardia.
