Tony McLean, president of St. Francis HospitalTony McLean serves as the Market President for CHI Franciscan Health in South King County providing executive leadership and oversight of Highline Medical Center in Burien and St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way. Prior to this position, McLean served as president of St. Francis Hospital.

Prior to joining the CHI Franciscan, McLean was vice president of operations at Virginia Mason Health System in Seattle where he provided oversight for clinical service lines and ambulatory care. Before that, he was the administrative director of orthopedics and musculoskeletal care at Virginia Mason.

He serves as finance committee chair for the Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority and has served as president of the South Puget Sound American Heart Association board. He is also a member of the American Hospital Association Region 9 Policy Board, the Washington State Hospital Association’s Public Policy Committee and the ACHIEVE health coalition board.

He earned a bachelor’s of arts degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., and a master’s degree in health administration from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
